What you will learn in this workshop

Although OpenOffice.org Impress is a powerful program, the concepts behind building a presentation are actually very simple. A presentation is really just a set of slides or pages.

Each page you create can contain images, text, charts and other items to help you express your ideas more clearly.

Once you know how to create and format the items on your pages, and you know how to organize your pages into a slide show. You'll know everything you need to create presentations with OpenOffice.org Impress.

In this workshop we will create a presentation for an imaginary company called Fictitious Financial Services.

We will build a few slides that will use the most common features of OpenOffice.org Impress. Once you master the skills used to build these slides you can build almost anything you want.

In less than an hour you'll know everything you need to know to create a slideshow like this. By the way, the images and sample files are available for this workshop so you can follow along if you like.
