Working with groups

The first thing we want to do is to group the three objects together so that we can interact with them as a single object. Interacting with a group of related objects is much more efficient than trying to interact with each individual component separately.

First, we need to select the items we want to group together. We can select multiple items by simultaneously clicking the item and pressing the shift key.

Next, we'll right click any of the selected objects and select the group command. Now our objects have been grouped together and can be treated as a single object.

By the way, If we wanted to break up the group so we could interact with the individual components, we could select and right click the group then select the ungroup command.

For now let’s leave the objects grouped together.
